New South African Strain of Corona Virus can reduce efficacy of Pfizer vaccine

 


THE NEW MUTATED FORM OF COVID 19 COULD DECREASE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF VACCINES.

 

New South African strain of covid 19 could decrease the effectiveness of Pfizer / bio n tech vaccine. This is revealed  in the research in Israel. The research is conducted on the persons who have taken the single or a double dose of the vaccine and then data is compared with the patients of covid 19.  

The persons who have taken a double dose of the vaccine were infected eight times higher than the persons who were not vaccinated.



According to the researchers, the South African strain of covid 19 could decrease the effectiveness of the vaccine. The results are alarming but the good thing about the new strain is that it does not spread quickly as other strains of covid 19 do. According to researchers new South African strain can decrease the efficacy of vaccine but this vaccine can stop covid 19 to spread in exponential numbers.  
Although Pfizer had not issued any statement about this research till now.
